How to Interpret Your Placement Test Results

If you have a score of at least 66% in Part 4, you can probably move to a more advanced grammar book than Clear Grammar 4. However, we recommend a score of approximately 75% as a better indicator that you are ready for the next higher book.

Each part of the test corresponds with a book in the Clear Grammar series. Thus, a student with scores of Part 1: 80; Part 2: 80; Part 3: 76; and Part 4: 40 should start in Book 4. A student with a score of Part 1: 80; Part 2: 75; Part 3: 66; and Part 4: 25 should start in Book 3, but might be able to function in Book 4.
